My objective of this website is to serve as an e-portfolio into my accomplishments thus far, highlighting everything from my skills and xperiences to my interests and passions, I often feel as though traditional resumes and cover letters just aren’t comprehensive enough to describe who a person truly is and what he/she can bring to the table.

Experience

Oracle, Associate cloud Consultant - crm applications

July 2018 - August 2019

Being hired as a part of the North America Cloud Consulting practice at Oracle was definitely a fun as interesting time to join the company. As they were building out there cloud practice, I was hired to join the consulting team in Reston, VA where we were responsible for the cloud delivery and implementation of Oracle’s Customer Experience Cloud products. It was a very exciting and nerve-racking time for me given this was my first job out of college and joining such a renowned tech company definitely carried with it its challenges. Throughout the year that I was with Oracle, I was able to get certified in Oracle Sales Cloud, as well as Oracle Engagement Cloud, which was the new offering at Oracle that combined sales and service aspects into one offering. I got the opportunity to be a part of international implementation teams as we transformed and modernized other high profile companies, taking them from their legacy system to a cloud-based system. Having the opportunity to be exposed to the tough business questions and complexities that many companies today face, was definitely an eye-opening experience and was reassuring to know that I made a great choice not only starting off my career at Oracle, but in consulting particularly. Oracle priding themselves on having a 100% certified consulting practice made us become certified professionals that could go into any business and offer suggestions on how to increase business, productivity and simplify workflows all while creating less overhead tasks and reducing expenses for businesses. This exposure really fine-tuned my skills and allowed me to discover my strengths and weaknesses and also allowed me to explore my interests and what I can bring to the table in project management and in a team-oriented setting.

solehut llc, founder

August 2013 - Present

Responsible for the creation, growth and creative direction of SoleHut, LLC. I started SoleHut when I was 17 years old as a way of creating a living and breathing entity of my passion for exclusive sneakers and clothing. I had a passion for collecting exclusive sneakers and always wanting to have the most exclusive shoes that nobody had or seen. Along with this, I had developed a skill for not only finding exclusive pairs of shoes, but being able to develop an eye for deals that allowed me to make a profit on shoes. One thing that comes with exclusivity nowadays is a high price tag, so being able to buy and resell shoes and use that profit to buy the exclusive shoes I always wanted became my business idea. My goal for SoleHut always was to generate enough profits to self-sustain my hobby of collecting sneakers. Along with the profits the business brings, I have also had the opportunity to network with like-minded entrepreneurs at different national sneaker events like SneakerCon, The Baltimore Sneaker Show, ShoeTopia, etc. where I would purchase a table at these events to display my collection, as well as buy and sell sneakers. My passion for sneakers had even led to a team footwear design internship at Under Armour in 2016 which I regrettably had to turn down due to already accepting another internship prior.

Astrazeneca, u.s. brand insights/sales force operations intern

June 2016 - August 2016

My internship at AstraZeneca is one that I will always treasure since I felt that I had grown tremendously in terms of professionalism. This internship is what really got me interested in IT and was my first deep dive into software, its functionality, and impact on a business. Being the only business major in a room full of science-related majors was really intimidating and really made me question what I would be able to offer in terms of measurable success during the three month internship. I remember during the first week of compliance training, my manager asked me if I had ever used QlikView before, to which I hesitated a bit, before nervously saying no. The conversation would continue by him telling me that not only am I going to learn how to use it, but what I would need to create with it by the end of my internship. Over the next few weeks I began researching everything there is to know about QlikView, joining QlikView forums on product capabilities, updated functionalities, Qlik for healthcare blogs, etc. Basically my objective was to create an onsite tool for the data management team to use to extract patient and partner information for their oncology drugs in the market. The extraction of this patient data was currently a very lengthy and time consuming process as it was being managed by a third party company AstraZeneca had contracted based in India. This led to inconvenient, time consuming workflows to view millions of patient data that were coming in every week. For simple data investigations, my manager would have to request data from the onsite third party consultant, who would then have to reach out to his offshore team in India who would then, given the time difference was hopefully still awake, send over the necessary reports requested. Using QlikView addressed an obvious business need for having data readily available for leadership to be able to view and analyze profits and performance of drugs in the market. During my my creation of the dashboard, I was also able to find that customer records that were being sent were not being updated in the current system when an update was sent, instead it was creating a whole new entry. To address this, within QlikView I was able to create a separate tab dashboard that highlighted how many duplicates were happening per week, and merge the two files into the same record using a unique Customer ID identifier, thus removing duplicates from our system. By the end of my internship, I was able to create a standalone, self-updating prototype that was able to be used for data investigations by our onshore team. Along with my main deliverable for the summer internship, I had the opportunity to attend many conferences, both internal and external where we would have the opportunity to learn from partners how they are using data management to transform their businesses. One quote that I heard a VP of another company say during a big data conference AstraZeneca hosted every year really resonated with me. She said, “The way companies manage their data directly determines their growth, regardless of their core competency.” This quote has always been in the back of mind and played a huge role into why I decided to choose Oracle as the company I would work for full-time out of college.

wgl energy, sustainability/business development intern

May 2015 - August 2015

WGL Energy was my first work experience in the corporate world and one that gave me my first lesson into a business and how it operates from the inside. In this role, I was assisting wherever I was needed to support sales/marketing initiatives that the company was pursuing. I feel that I had joined this company at a perfect time because I got to see how the company transitioned when re-branding from a gas company to an energy company, participating in initiatives to increase renewable energy contracts through customer testimonials, see how the pricing strategy works from the inside to customers who was to lock-in their energy bill rates during the peak seasons: summer and winter. I also got to participate in volunteer events to help gauge the interest of kids in elementary school in STEM majors through partnerships the company had with local agencies like the Boy and Girls Club. In addition to some of the sales and marketing strategies that I was able to learn, publish and observe, I also had the opportunity to receive training in useful tips and tricks sessions which demonstrated best practices when dealing with gas leaks at the home or workplace, something that everyone using electricity and gas anywhere can benefit from. The hard skills, along with the practical knowledge I was able to gain through my summer internship really helped shape and mold me into who I am today and taught me to always explore and be curious since sustainable energy practices are something that isn’t widely accepted and utilized in today’s world, so always thinking about new, profitable way of saving the planet, as well as saving customers money is a win-win strategy for everyone.
